If I do say so myself, I’ve always (well, since I wrote it in 3 days, a couple of summers ago) rather liked this┬ápaper of mine, which mainly takes the form of a dialogue between two friends who disagree about the ethics of “legally defensible” tax planning by the super-rich and large corporations that might have the effects of helping to super-charge plutocracy and monopoly. It’s no Socratic dialogue – the contestants are evenly matched, reflecting that I myself partially agree with each.

The article is now close to being published, as a chapter in the forthcoming Oxford University Press volume, Tax, Inequality, and Human Rights.
